Hat-trick of new releases on our sister label SLAM
We’re delighted to announce a series of new releases on our sister label SLAM. Originally founded by saxophonist George Haslam in 1989, SLAM is a free jazz, contemporary jazz and improvised recorded music label, which has released over 250 albums.
They’re a hat-trick of recent duo recordings by some incredible UK jazz artists and improvisers – towering free jazz saxophonist Paul Dunmall and the highly creative saxophonist Kevin Figes are first up. Next, it’s the turn of versatile saxophonist David Bitelli and gifted drummer Ollie Usiskin, whose imaginative improvisations take us on a journey through post-bop, jazz-funk and free jazz landscapes. Kevin returns for the 3rd release alongside legendary free jazz vocalist Julie Tippetts.
Available to pre-order today, they’re available on limited edition 4-panel digipak CDs, each a one-off pressing of 300 copies and across all digital platforms. They’re beautifully presented with sleeve notes by Daniel Spicer (The Wire / Jazzwise).
You can also purchase all 3 new releases on SLAM in one bundle. Includes download codes for all 3. Save money on the albums & shipping. Click below for more info and listening links.
